Hamburg Marathon 2019: News, Infos und Strecke

The Haspa Marathon Hamburg is Germany's biggest spring marathon and since 1986. The First One to paint the blue line on the roads. Hamburg is almost (2:05:30), the Metropolitan City (1.8 million residents) lets the euphoric atmosphere spillover and carries you into the finish.

The Haspa Marathon Hamburg is a sightseeing tour through the city including all of Hamburg’s highlights. It is for that reason that we did not straighten out every turn or tried to cut out any “climbs”. Hamburg is fast (2:05:30), Hamburg is worth seeing and Hamburg inspires. Run the blue line!

You will find refreshment stations every 5 km located on the right hand side of the course. Refreshments will be placed in the following order: personal nutrition – tubs with water – Hamburg well water (in cups) – bananas (starting at Km 10) – Gels – Coke (starting at Km 25) – Electrolyte Drinks. Starting at Km 7,5 there will be additional water stations every 5 km. There will also be tubs of water for you to dunk in a sponge for refreshment purposes as well as well water in cups.

Award Medals

You will be able to receive your race medal after the finish in the Athletes Area.

Equipment Storage

Please use the official Haspa Marathon Kit Bag exclusively and plan enough time for the drop off before the start. Please keep in mind that the organiser cannot be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage of personal valuables. We therefore recommend that you only use the Haspa Kit Bag for a change of clothes.

Maximum Time

Runners will be expected to finish within 6:30 hours.

Provided Photo Service

Before the finish refreshment station, a photo service from Marathon-Photos.com can be found, where every participant can have a picture taken, and purchase it during the day. Of course there are many picture points at the distance also.

Refreshments

You have the chance to refuel with carbol mineral drinks on every aid station. Energy gels will be available starting at km 20, as well as coke from km 25 onwards.

Timing

The timing at the Haspa Marathon Hamburg will be only through the Real-Time-ChampionChip. Please affix the chip on your shoe. Handbikers and wheelchair users please use a wheelchair chip.
